Speedway, Indiana – Home to the Indy 500
A town of 13,000 people is home to the Indy 500.
Dawsons, a full-service restaurant, is located on Main Street directly across the street from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, one of the most famous racetracks in the world.
The restaurant was opened by the Hill family in June 2006 and is known for friendly service, great hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, local craft beers, and popular Hoosier tenderloins. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so you can enjoy the fun Main Street atmosphere. They also offer a catering menu, which includes box lunches for the racers and other services.
Are you craving some crispy comfort food? Head Midwest to Indiana and discover their Hoosier Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. At Dawson’s and almost every restaurant in Indiana, they will feature this legendary sandwich. It consists of a breaded monster-sized, ¼-inch thick, fried pork tenderloin cutlet, reaching wildly towards the edges of a dinner plate, that’s served on an undersized kaiser roll, complete with condiments on or aside it. It’s part of the state’s cultural identity, has an outstanding combination of textures and flavors, and like all Hoosiers, has its own unique style.
If you want to experience the friendly service at Dawsons restaurant, stop by and talk to Kiely Donis. She represents the family and has been working at the restaurant for about ten years, providing the welcoming service you experience there. She is full of enthusiasm and a ray of Speedway sunshine. Kiely said, “I think the town of Speedway is a great town to work in,”
