North Carolina Wild Foods Weekend Foraging Event

We decided to travel to North Carolina to attend the North Carolina Wild Foraging Weekend Event. It promised a foraging experience in the woods, expert lectures, cooking techniques, and even a grand dining Wild Feast food festival. We expected to be part of these activities, but what really happened was a big surprise. We were treated as part of a big foraging family with helpful information always there. Everything was viewed in a positive light since enjoying the experience was the main goal. We were encouraged to learn in our own way and at our own pace From the searching, picking, preparing to cooking, we felt so much warmth from everyone around us that we could clearly understand why people came back to this event each year.
